Brian Regan Chicago reviews
Love him!
I give 5 stars based solely on how much of a fan I am of Brian Regan - he never disappoints! He is a true professional and I am always amazed at how he continues to come up with hilarious material & delivery without being raunchy. Just about all of the material was new to me from the last time I saw him pre-Covid. But I also refrained from watching any recent Netflix specials until I saw him live. He’s also always had funny opening performers with him and Jackie Kashian kept that streak going.
The venue however leaves something to be desired. The balcony seats are wooden & they have what look like flotation devices that you can borrow to sit on (no thanks). The upstairs bar was closed so the line at the only bar was excessive and there are 6 flights of stairs to walk up with drinks in hand. The parking situation is also atrocious unless you find nearby free street parking in Medford square. Lastly, it infuriates me that when I bought tickets every single one of the front row balcony seats were sold, yet the large majority of them were empty during the show. It really sucks that those prime tickets are sold to 3rd party places that charge twice as much. I’d say a 3 star rating for the venue is probably generous. Thankfully I don’t let much detract from the overall enjoyment of seeing my favorite comedian in person again!
